The Service

viewparquet is a browser-based tool for inspecting and querying Parquet and related file formats, with optional local BYOK AI and paid cloud projects, storage, and managed AI. Features may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue functionality without prior notice.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the files you open and any SQL or AI prompts you run.
• You must have the right to use and analyze any data you load into the Service.
• You must not use the Service to violate applicable law or third-party rights.
• You must not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the Service.
• You must not include secrets, credentials, or personal data in AI prompts or support messages unless you are permitted to share them with your chosen providers.

AI features and third-party providers

AI features are optional. BYOK mode requires your own key, keeps that key in the browser, and sends requests directly to the provider you configure. Managed Cloud AI is included with an eligible subscription and sends authenticated requests through our server to OpenRouter.

In BYOK mode you are responsible for your provider account and billing. In every mode you are responsible for the data you choose to send. We do not guarantee provider availability, model availability, output accuracy, or uninterrupted service. You control what dataset context is shared via in-app data-sharing settings. Cloud subscriptions and billing

Cloud and Cloud Pro are recurring subscriptions processed by Polar. Prices are shown before checkout and applicable tax may be added based on location. The subscription renews until you cancel it in the billing portal. A cancellation scheduled for period end keeps access active through the paid period. Enterprise terms, limits, and deployment responsibilities are agreed separately in writing.

Each plan includes storage and a cost-weighted managed-AI allowance. Models have different costs, so higher-priced models use that allowance faster. We may enforce file-size, storage, request, transfer, and reasonable-use limits to protect service availability and the economics of the plan.

Cloud files and deletion

Cloud upload is explicit: opening a local file does not save it to our servers. You remain responsible for maintaining source copies and backups. Deleting a cloud file removes the service copy and may not be recoverable. We may remove data after a subscription ends following reasonable notice, subject to legal, security, and backup-retention requirements.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy of query results, AI-generated SQL, or suitability for production decisions. You use outputs at your own risk. Always review generated SQL before running it on sensitive data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, business interruption, loss of cloud data, or charges incurred with third-party AI providers.
